After many attempts on Sartharion, along with his 3 comrads: Tenebron, Shadron, and Vesperon, we were finally able to extinguish all Dragons from their lair.

Tonight, It took us 3 attempts to finally kill Sartharion with 3 Drakes (S3D 25) tonight.

We'd like to congratulate Stein for winning the guild-first Reins of the Twilight Drake.

We are now considered 'Juggernaut, the Twilight Vanquishers!'

Team 2: 25-man Content Nearly Cleared

Our 2nd 25-man raid had its debut raiding this past Tuesday. With little obstacles and challenges along the progression, the success is evident among members in the raid for they now carry some phat epic lootz.

Team 2 (2nd 25-man raid) now has Sapphiron, Kel'Thuzad, Sartharion, Archavon, and Malygos left on the progression chart. We expect to down these bosses by tomorrow night.

Recent Raid Achievements

Last night was the debut Heroic: Naxxramas run of our 2nd 25-man raid group (Team 2). Needless to say, it was an impromptu raid. It was never scheduled to start last night but we were able to pull something out of our pockets due to the fact that we had enough raiders eager to raid Naxxramas alongside Team 1.

We had Team 1 and Team 2 raids going through Naxxramas. Team 1 being the original raid and Team 2 being the new raid. While Team 2 were taking it slowly but surely, Team 1 completed 2 Heroic: Naxxramas Achievements.

Team 2: Raiding Naxxramas Successful

We had an impromptu raiding for Team 2 tonight and it was pleasantly successful. After planning on creating a second team of 25-man raid group, it finally came to fruition. After 1.5 hours, we were able to clear Arachnid Quarter and also taking down Noth the Plaguebringer in The Plague Quarter.

We are now officially running 2 raids on 25-man on a weekly basis (Team 1 & Team 2). Due to the expansion of our small guild community, we were forced to upgrade our ventrilo server to allow 80 players. We have endless run of 10-man raiding and heroics.

Next raid will be on Thursday @ 8:30 pm for both Team 1 and Team 2 raid.

We are still recruiting raiders (healers and damage dealers).

Fun Raiding Achievement

Juggernaut has already cleared all raiding content on both normal (10-man) and heroic (25-man) difficulty. At this time, there is not much to post on our main site. However, we will still keep our main site up-to-date with anything new and exciting about the guild. So stay tuned!

Our latest and fun 25-man raiding achievement is the Heroic: Safety Dance. This achievement can be accomplished when no one dies from the raid during Heigan the Unclean boss encounter. Thanks to Lyndir! She made it to the finish line. <3

Heroic: Malygos' Demise / All Contents Cleared

Norgannon, the Titan master-magician and keeper of lore, granted the blue dragon Malygos a portion of his vast power. From then on, Malygos would be known as the Spell-weaver, the guardian of magic and hidden arcanum.

Malygos, the Lord of Magic, has now been banished from his magical realm by Juggernaut.

Juggernaut of Drenden has fully cleared 10-man and 25-man raiding content.

Heroic: Naxxramas Cleared!

Due to our lack of raiders yesterday, we were unable to clear Heroic: Naxxramas. So today, we one-shotted both Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad on heroic mode (25-man raid).

As of today, we only have 25-man Malygos to finish up. It's been quite hectic in terms of raiding attendance. It's not a problem, we don't mind delayed gratification from raiding. After today's clearing of Naxxramas, there were about 6-8 raiders had to leave and therefore, we're not doing Heroic: Eye of Eternity until next week. I suspect it to be easier than Malygos 10-man.

By the way, we're still recruiting 1 competent Enhancement Shaman and 1 Restoration Shaman, and probably 1 holy priest and 1 shadow priest if they have a good raiding experience under their belt.

Malygos Banished from his Magic Realm

Quite a few people were out and about today. Core raiders were unable to raid. Therefore, we were not able to clear Naxxramas 25-man tonight. However, a more grand achievement tonight - downing Malygos 10-man!

My prediction is that 25-man Malygos will be slightly easier than 10-man Malygos. We will attempt to clear Naxxramas 25 tomorrow.

In quest to clear 25-Man Naxxramas this week, we cleared nearly 3 quarters in Naxxramas tonight including tonight's new guild first kills on these bosses: Noth the Plaguebringer, Heigan the Unclean, and Loatheb are all dead. Plague Quarter cleared.

We will be back in action on Thursday @ 9:00 pm in hopes to clear all wings and possibly downing Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad themselves.

We have set in the past that we're only farming T6 for leveling purposes and a few Sunwell gear for some fresh level 80 Naxxramas action, but we finally decided that we would go beyond Felmyst. We went ahead and paid visit to our homegirls, Eredar Twins. They are now dead.

Sunwell Plateau: The Fall of Felmyst

Felmyst encounter seems to be quite similar as Nightbane encounter. So, we considered Felmyst as Nightbane 2.0 encounter. By the way, many guilds have struggled to kill Felmyst in both pre- and post 3.0.2 patch, hence many considered her as Failmyst. Failing, failure, get it?

Due to the late reformation of the guild, we've decided to stop our Sunwell Progression at Felmyst, enough to collect all Tier 6 pieces for leveling up to 80 during the expansion.

WotLK Raid Diversity

"I undestand your concern here. It's totally valid. But it's actually the "OMG we need X" mentality that we're trying to get away from. Even a 25-player raid stacked with healers is going to have ~15 slots for dps. Not every raid will have a rogue in one of those spots, but some will, and some will have 3 or 4. We want to restore flexibility back to the group.

Our experience is that a lot of guilds are groups of friends, and it sucks when those groups have to sit out mage 3 and 4 just because "full on mages." If you have a group with exceptional rogues, great. Bring them. You shouldn't be punished for having too many good players.

Now maybe you're worried that battle rez or battle shout or whatever is still too good and stacks so well that every guild is going to switch to stacking, oh I don't know, 10 Ret pallies for their dps. If that happens, and we're convinced it's really an issue not just players experimenting, then we'll squash it. Because the goal is you bring ~15 dps, not that you bring 10 ret pallies. That violates the "OMG we need X" situation." (blizz)

Juggernaut is actively seeking mature, dedicated, and patient raiders. We are looking for someone who do more than just login-raid-logoff kind of raiders. We're looking for someone who value theorycrafting and evaluate strategies. We're looking for someone who will contribute throughout our WotLK raiding progression.

We have a select few raiders who have been rading since UBRS up until Illidan almost over a year ago. We'd like to call ourselves old school raiders and we're looking for more. If this is you, please do not hesitate to apply as a raider during WotLK or even pre-WotLK in BT/Sunwell for a month to test our your normal rotation.

Solidifying 10-man Raid for WotLK

As a former raid member of the earliest and original number 1 top guild on Drenden, I know what it takes for a guild to have a good start after an expansion release. We will do it again but this time, it'll be much better. It'll take a lot of dedication, patience, and research.

Just like Burning Crusade expansion, it'll all start from a 10-man raid group. With the success of the group comes more skilled and talented players joining the raid.

Juggernaut will have 10-15 core and trusted raiders who will plow through Naxxramas 10-man. The guild is expecting to have 2 10-man core groups and will be recruiting the rest after a few clears of 10-man Naxxramas to start on Naxxramas 25-man. The rest will be history.

We will welcome any fresh and old school raiders in our guild.

Nerfing BC Content after Patch 3.0

"To coincide with the upcoming new talents and mechanic changes for classes in the next patch, we are making some adjustments in existing raid content to provide a smooth transition when the upcoming patch is released. The creatures and bosses in raid dungeons that were introduced in The Burning Crusade will have their health reduced, and most will have their standard melee damage output reduced as well, but their spell and ability damage are not being changed. These changes are being made in all raid dungeons from Karazhan to Sunwell Plateau as well as the outdoor encounters of Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker. On top of this Illidan is also doing his part and will stop casting Shear on players."

Black Temple Cleared (PTR PVE)

Last night...

A protection warrior named Amund, in full Sunwell Plateau gear, whispered me to say, "Hey, do you want to come along to Black Temple with us?" I replied, "Decent raid make-up?" He said, "Yep." So after about 15 mins, we had a full raid group. We had all the raid synergy that we needed, including enhancement shaman, retribution paladin, boomkin, elemental shaman, and the rest of the raiding spots were filled with pure DPS class. We, of course, had 7 healers: 1 Holy Priest, 1 Holy Paladins, 3 Resto Shamans, 2 Resto Druids.

After about 4 hours, we cleared the place, 1-shotting all the bosses with the exception of Mother Shahraz. It took us 3 tries since many didn't have Shadow Resist gear set.

The point of this article is that... the upcoming patch 3.0 is quite OP for the current raiding content. But that will not stop us from raiding Black Temple once the patch 3.0 goes live.

The patch is expected to go live on October 14th!

Wrath Raiding Expectation

We are hoping or expecting to level within 2 weeks after the release of the expansion. The following 2 weeks will then be the gearing up process from which all prospective members are encouraged to gear up their raiding characters before we dive into 10-man Naxxramas raiding.

The first few months, we are expecting to recruit talented and dedicated raiders.

We will be aiming for at least Top 3 on Drenden Raiding Progression Board. With this in mind, we will be a little bit more stringent when it comes to raiding in order to be successful.

By the way, Patch 3.0 will be released on October 14th!

Looting System:

All loots will be distributed in a God loot/Council loot fashion. No DKP.
Distribution depends on raid member reliability, attendance, and skill.
Epic will be divided in order to help the guild as a whole to progress faster.

If you have problems with the above listed, you shouldn't be in this guild.

"Loot distribution is not about fairness; it is about incentive. Secondarily, it is about strategic progression.

To take that a step further -- any system with a Loot Council, any system with an item priority, and any system with an item cost, is unfair. Any system with a complex ruleset is unfair.

Why? Because you are setting arbitrary values and restrictions based on an opinion of what is the right course for your guild. These values and restrictions will not correlate to the worth an item may have to individual players.

For instance, a Druid may believe a staff is worth three weeks of her work, while a Mage may believe the same staff is only worth one week of his work; many loot systems, whether based on class priority or another arbitrary reason, may award the staff to the Mage over the Druid, even if both can afford the item. This is often good for the guild, especially newer guilds where players may not fully understand the impact of loot on their raid; it is not fair.

Consider also that many loot systems will not compensate people for work they do outside of a traditional raid setting. For instance, if a players attend optional raids or spend a large amount of time farming flask materials for the guild, they are often not rewarded for their work.

That decision is often made by guilds who do not want to discourage people who work long hours during the day or cannot be available on weekends. While in many situations it can be helpful to not reward people for necessary work -- to satisfy the people who cannot or do not want to do extra work on behalf of the guild -- do not be under any illusions that it is fair.

Once you accept that nearly any system you create will have an inherent unfairness you will be able to best focus on the real goal of your loot system -- incentive."

There were plans to make the backpack bigger, but the currency and pet changes in WotLK freed enough space and there isn't any plan to do it anymore. Still possible for the future though.
There is going to be a dual-spec interface introduced in a content patch after the expansion. The talent spec process will be revisited at the same time. (Confirmation boxes to prevent misplaced talents, etc ...)
The compatibility of TBC addons in WotLK shouldn't be too bad at the beginning. There wasn't any huge LUA change or anything like that.
There isn't any plan to add class-specific elements like PallyPower in the default UI. Sometimes very popular addons might be integrated to the base UI but only when they fit general needs.
There are no current plans to change the bag UI and make it just one large bag.
A /castrandom command for the new Mounts/Minipets UI might be added to the game.
Itemrack and ingame boss mods are still planned, but there is no ETA on them.
The current implementation of the threat UI (% of threat of the main tank) in the beta is the final one. The point of the default UI is to be simple and very visual, for more detailed stats you'll have to rely on specific mods like Omen.

Dual-Spec system

The dual-spec system will be introduced in a content patch. The goal is to let you switch specs very easily in raid, even between fights ! However it won't be possible to switch specs in the middle of an arena match.
With dual-spec introduced in the game, there are also discussions about an Itemrack-like mod being introduced to the default UI

Group Flexibility

There are 30 specs but only 25 spots in a raid. The class choice should be very flexible and the buff/debuff system overhaul was done to help with that. Cancelling a buff because a class wasn't available (like Shamans for Bloodlust) was not desirable.
Most buffs now affect the whole raid and multiple classes can give them, however none of them will stack. You should get more types of buffs by bringing a fewer number of players and will be able to optimize them by bringing the right spec but it definitely won't be as necessary as it was in TBC. (Note : See Raidcomp !)

Tanking

All the tanking classes are now suitable as a main tank and their threat has been greatly increased to make fights more fun, fights are now more about skills than dying because of a random aggro.

Death Knight (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

The original idea behind the rune system was a totally customizable rune pool (like, 6 Unholy runes) but "it sucked". They changed it to what is it today (2 Runes of each type)
Death Knights shouldn't be played like a metronome and is intended to be an interactive and reactive class.
As a death knight, your talent trees are a good way to define "your style, but not your role". Devs want to bring this philosophy to other classes.

Druid (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

Balance druids have been greatly improved and you shouldn't see a lot of OOMkins anymore. Their DPS is now on par with other DPS classes.
Balance DPS looks pretty good now but developpers are keeping an eye on the survavibility
Entangling roots was allowed indoor to give druids more crowd control ability in instances.
Restoration were stuck in the HoT niche and were very limited in 5-mans or raids. Nourish is new flash heal-like spell added to solve this problem on single targets and Wild Growth was added to give them an AOE Heal.
Druids were also given an OOC resurrection spell.
Feral druids were decent at tanking and DPSing, but couldn't master any of these fields. In WotLK you can take all the bear talents to become a very good main tank, or all the cat talents to have a very high DPS.
Feral mana is a known issue, and developpers don't want intellect on feral gear. This is being looked at

Hunter (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

The hunter pet system was overhauled because it was "clumsy for new players".
The shot rataion has been cleaned to make things easier for hunters and make them less reliant on mods or macros.
Freezing shot was introduced to make pulls faster without having to deploy your traps on the ground each time.

Mage (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

Frostfire Bolt is a way to achieve an elemental tree with mages, they should be able to deal both fire and frost damage
Mage DPS looks pretty good now, there are still a few mana issues getting fixed very soon
Living Bomb base damage will most likely be increased and the spell mechanics might be modified slightly. Overall, the 51-points talent weren't meant to be spammed and developpers want them to be situational
Frost and Fire looks pretty balanced now, but Arcane needs a few more tweaks. Arcane needs to be more "mobile"

Paladin (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

Paladins were decent off-tanks but not great main tanks, this is fixed in WotLK. Paladins should focus on protection gear instead of spell power.
Holy Paladins were good healers but couldn't do much in encounters where players are required to move a lot, however they definitely don't want them as a HoT class.
Retribution paladins are supposed to deal a decent amount of DPS without running out of mana.
Retributions paladins have to be in control of their damage and shouldn't have to rely on lucky critical strikes to deal most of their damage

Priest (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

The goal with Shadowpriest is to make them a DPS class, not just a mana battery.
Discipline priests should be viable raid healer.
Mind sear was introduced to give priests another viable DPS ability.
Class-specific racial abilities were cool, but the idea became got "old" with time. That's why racials have been revamped

Rogue (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

AoE DPS was really needed and Fan of Knives was added to the game.
Purchasable poisons and the buff of the dagger spec should help "reintroducing" them to the game.
The goal is to have end-boss less immune to poisons and rogues less dependant of Windfury

Shaman (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

Totems are now physical and harder to dispell, have more life and last longer.
Hex was added to give Shamans more crowd control ability, Riptide to improve their healing, and Lava Burst their spell DPS.

Warlock (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

Warlocks pets have been made more useful.
The warlock rotation shouldn't be restricted to a shadowbolt spam, that's why Chaos Bolt was added.
Affliction Tree is still too complicated and developpers are working on it. Developers definitely want it back as a raiding spec
Pets should be easier to summon/switch and use.

Warrior (Skills List / Talent Calc. (9061))

Protection spec has been revamped to make it cooler to play, mitigation talents now take a lot less points and will let you invest in a few other nice tools.
In TBC, Arms was PvP and Fury the PvE spec, this will change in WotLK : Battle Stance, Overpower, and Rend have been improved. New fun abilities have been introduced like Bladestorm and Sudden Death, Fury obviously have Titan's Grip.
